Brian Skarbek has been a key member of the Cypress Bank & Trust team since 2004, bringing more than 30 years of experience in the financial industry. As Senior Investment Officer and Senior Vice President, he leads the firm’s investment team and oversees the entire investment process.

Brian began his career in 1995 with Barnett Securities, where he quickly earned a reputation as a skilled and driven professional. He later joined Harris Bank in Sarasota, serving as a Portfolio Manager and Investment Officer. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from Florida Southern College in Lakeland, Florida.

Outside of his professional role, Brian is deeply involved in the community. For more than a decade, he has volunteered with local baseball organizations, and he has served on the Foundation Board of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Sarasota and DeSoto Counties for over 25 years. His long-standing dedication reflects a strong commitment to both his profession and the community he serves.
