Jamie Ebling, a native of Bradenton, Florida, is a Partner and Shareholder at Berlin Patten Ebling, PLLC, where he oversees the firm’s marketing department and manages the St. Petersburg and Tampa offices. With a career rooted in both athletics and law, Jamie brings a unique blend of leadership, strategy, and practical business acumen to his legal practice.

A 1996 graduate of Florida Southern College (FSC), Jamie was drafted in the 20th round of the MLB Draft by the Tampa Bay Devil Rays, where he played professionally for two seasons before retiring to pursue a legal career. He earned his Juris Doctor from Nova Southeastern University – Shepard Broad Law Center, where he was recognized with several academic honors, including Best Trial Brief and a Book Award in Legal Research and Writing.

Jamie began his legal career in South Florida, practicing securities law with a large firm before returning to the Gulf Coast to focus on complex commercial and residential real estate transactions. His practice encompasses land use and zoning, Association creation, representation of developers and lenders, counsel for contractors and builders, and transactional representation for residential and commercial transactions.

He is also a frequent educator and speaker, having taught seminars for realtors, buyers, and sellers on topics including contract negotiations, waterfront property, short sales, and 1031 exchanges.

In addition to his legal work, Jamie is an active entrepreneur and investor, particularly in commercial real estate and startup ventures.  He is a founding partner and current Board Member of Proplogix, a nationally recognized title support company. His leadership has contributed to numerous accolades, including listings on the Inc. 5000 and Inc. 500, and recognition from Best Lawyers, SRQ Magazine, and The Sarasota Herald-Tribune. Notably, Berlin Patten Ebling was named 2024 Medium Business of the Year, among many other regional and national honors.

Jamie’s collegiate baseball career at FSC was equally distinguished. He was a member of the 1995 NCAA National Championship team, named MVP in 1996, and earned selections to multiple All-Region and All-Conference teams. He played under Hall of Fame Coach Chuck Anderson and was one of only 47 players invited to the Tampa Bay Devil Rays’ Instructional League in 1996.

Jamie continues to be a proud ambassador of Florida Southern Baseball and a driving force in both the legal and business communities along Florida’s west coast.
